A piano is both an instrument and a large set piece
A production may need an upright piano for a family interior, a grand piano for a performance scene, a camera-ready instrument for a commercial, or simply a way to clear an existing piano from the frame. The visual choice matters, but the logistics matter just as much. A piano has to fit through the access route, arrive inside the production window, sit where the camera department needs it, protect the floor and leave on schedule.
Unlike a lightweight decorative prop, an acoustic piano cannot be carried casually across a cyc wall, rolled on its original casters or repositioned repeatedly without a plan. The correct approach depends on piano size, playing requirements, access, floor finish, studio rules and whether the instrument must remain in exactly the same position for continuity.

When a homeowner's, venue's or studio's existing piano blocks the camera, set construction or traffic path, we can review moving it to short-term storage and returning it after the production.
Room-to-room piano moving
Some shoots only require the piano to move to another room, another side of the set or a protected holding area. Doorways, turns, flooring and the return path still need to be checked first.

Tuning can be coordinated when the production requires a playable instrument, subject to technician availability and the time allowed after placement.
